Collection: About George Schaub


George Schaub, who has had a home in Taos for thirty years, has a long history of writing and illustrating books and articles for numerous publishers and publications, authoring over 20 books on photography and imaging as well as articles for publications such as The New York Times, Travel/Holiday, Men’s Journal, Travel & Leisure, and numerous consumer and technical photographic magazines.

He has concentrated his recent efforts on creating graphic prints, charcoals, and pastel artwork for exhibition.
Recent Taos exhibitions include work in numerous Taos Select shows during the Fall Arts Festival; “Pressing Through Time” at the Fechin Studio; “Three Visions” at the Blumenschein Home and Studio; and a Featured Artist exhibition at the magpie gallery in Taos. He has also had recent shows at the Hallway Gallery in New Haven, CT, “Discovering America” at the New Britain (CT) Museum of American Art, and “Visions 2021” at the Lyme Academy of Art (CT).

In addition, he authored and directed “Three," a one-act play performed in the TCA auditorium in the summer of 2021. And, along with his partner Nancy Glasgow, he organized the 2021 Taos Artist Combo pop-up at the Stables Museum at the TCA, which will take place in the same venue in 2022 during the Fall Arts Festival.
